Through the talents of gallery artist Mark Gingerich, we are pleased to offer art copying services. Whether it is to make a second version of a family portrait or heirloom painting, or to satisfy the desire to own a favorite painting that hangs in a museum, we can be of help. Mark can work from a photograph or the original work and produce an exact copy that will be virtually indistinguishable from the original. Plus, turn-around time is rapid: the above piece, painted on-site at the Columbus Museum of Art, was done in approximately one week's time.
Oil painting refracts light, which gives it depth and rich color. By contrast, printed reproductions, regardless of how they are produced and textured, reflect light and thus come off visually flatter. If you are decorating your basement or a kid's college apartment, a good print is certainly fine.
