Theodorus (Dorus) Arts studied in the Netherlands
under Arnold Marc Gorter, Jan Toorup, and others. He produced both
landscapes and urban scenes. This lovely Barbizon-inspired work
retains its original Louis-style frame.

Hermann Lasch studied in Dusseldorf and was primarily a landscape
painter. He began exhibiting in 1890 and worked both in France and
Germany. This dynamic work, done in 1898, shows consierable
post-impressionist influence.

Graziano Marsili was born in Bagno a Ripoli and trained under Giuseppe
Mazonne. He also studied art history, particularly impressionism,
and uses this knowledge in his depicitions of the Tuscan countryside.
He lives and works in Firenze and produces both landscapes and urban
scenes.

Daniel
Sherrin was a prolific British painter of landscapes and coastal scenes.
He studied under his father John Sherrin and worked extensively in Kent.
Sherrin produced works not only under his own name but also that of "L.
Richards", apparently a dodge around certain galleries to whom he was
under contact.

George Basset was a London
landscape painter who exhibited from 1829 to 1884. He showed at
